  • The system is very good for the war wounded - as it should be. But the system has rationed care - that is not enough resources to take care of all of those eligible for care. One comment thought that it was wonderful that the military has socialized medicine.

  • The hospital in Nuernberg has been closed for a number of years now.  The only Army hospital still open in Germany is in Landstuhl.  Three of the best years I had in the military was my assignment at the Landstuhl hospital. US Army MSC retired.

  • Our public education system is badly broken. Several years ago I taught University level classes - 60% of our students (U. S. high school graduates) had to take remediation classes before they could begin college level work. This was in a private university.

  • You don't understand - most government employees that did not work when the government was "shut down" were paid all of the money for the days they did not work - just extra time off. Research before you make off-the-wall statements.
