The system is very good for the war wounded - as it should be. But the system has rationed care - that is not enough resources to take care of all of those eligible for care. One comment thought that it was wonderful that the military has socialized medicine.

The hospital in Nuernberg has been closed for a number of years now. The only Army hospital still open in Germany is in Landstuhl. Three of the best years I had in the military was my assignment at the Landstuhl hospital. US Army MSC retired.

The tripe coming out of Washington is disgusting - from both sides. The military is paid at the first of the month - and that money is already in their bank accounts. It is despicable to use the troops as debating points. The Food and Forage Act of 1861 is detailed in the OMB report:

Our public education system is badly broken. Several years ago I taught University level classes - 60% of our students (U. S. high school graduates) had to take remediation classes before they could begin college level work. This was in a private university.

Be careful what you wish for - Texas could subdivide into five states and gain 8 senators to go along with the five increased members of the house - cause so many from the Northeast want to come to Texas to live.

You don't understand - most government employees that did not work when the government was "shut down" were paid all of the money for the days they did not work - just extra time off. Research before you make off-the-wall statements.
